This was a still life study of orchids.  It is remarkable how dramatic the life of an orchid and yet delicate and beautiful. I combined the charcoal background with oil paint to create an incredible texture that mimicked the soft supple feeling of the orchid. Made in 2005. 15" x 30" x .75"
